Award-winning artist roots in DetroitKofi Myler, owner of Loaf Art & Design Company, has studied the fine arts since early childhood. At age 15, he enrolled in the College for Creative Studies, Detroit campus, on art scholarships, at the same time he attended Cass Technical High School in its Commercial Art curriculum.
After graduating Cass, already an award-winning artist, he enrolled in Wayne State University on a journalism scholarship, being actively recruited by newspapers for his talent as a budding graphic artist and editorial cartoonist. But at age 18 he got derailed. Myler was sent to prison for his role in a fatal shooting that killed a 17-year-old male. Myler served his sentence, paroled and again pursued a career in art. He earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from WSU; became a husband and father; active in charity work; and founded LADC. "We're a commercial art resource for startups and small businesses ... fine art for connoisseurs." said Myler. |
